Going to the West!

I am in Mount Rushmore South Dakota and I am about to start my road trip in the West. I'm so excited to see all the views and here all the interesting facts!

I wonder if the farming is as good in the West as it was in the Midwest. Do people have the same source of food? Will the landscape be flat like a prairie like in the Midwest or will it be rocky mountains everywhere? First I think I will visit California to check out the famous jail were Alcapone was once in. It is called... Alcatraz. I hope I don't stay there for a life sentence!

I'm looking forward to meeting all the places in the West. maybe I can meet some "geeks" [you know what I mean] that can tell me all about the technology in the West and why they picked the West for the tech place. looking forward to continue my trip!

Sincerely,
Alek

This week I went to the famous Fort Dearborn. I chose to go to Fort Dearborn because it has an interesting history with the Native Americans and the Americans fighting for their land.

I would really recomend going there because it is cool to learn all the facts about the Americans settling in the Midwest to make other lives better and to make it safe to live. It is also interesting because when I was there, people were dressed as Native Americans and told us how they lived in the wild. I would recomend going to Mount Rushmore, since it has beautiful sights.Of course I would also recomend going to Fort, since it has very interesting.

I would want to go to the Mississippi river, the great lakes, and Niagra Falls. I would like to go to all these places because Niagra Falls has splendid sights, the Mississippi river is cool because it is one of the longest river in the world and second longest in the U.S.A. I picked the great lakes because of what I heard it is one of the biggest bodies of water that actually is fresh.

My Road Trip

I know a lot about the Midwest. It is so interesting with fun facts all over! In the Midwest there tons and tons of good farming ground everywhere. It also has lots of cool places to visit like Chicago, Mount Rushmore, and a bunch of national parks.

Do you know why the Midwest has awesome farming ground? It is because thousands of years ago huge glaciers melted into the soil and made it good farming ground. The Midwest people are happy to live here because they have good spots to farm their crops and make a living. This is also how people have good trading posts. The Midwest has a good place for buissnesses because there are the great lakes there and people use boats to bring cargo to the places that need it.  They also made continental railroads that went all over the U.S. These trains also helped them bring their items around.

What I want to know is how did people think of making all these transportation devices to make their lives easier? I wonder how the badlands in South Dakota were formed. And how was it even possible to make a living in the Midwest when people had nothing but sod houses and somehow they turned it in to the great city Chicago and other cool cities in the Midwest!
